While May 1 has lost a little of the “umphf” it had prior to COVID it’s still an important date for every high school senior and college administrator. 

For your student, the list of To Do’s seems to multiple like mushrooms at night and they all are very close together in due dates.

For college admin, it’s very similar. Lots of planning and anticipation based on those May 1 commitments before the first day of class.
